[UNOFFICIAL] Riftbound

Description

League of Legends has made a brand new card game called Riftbound and this year it will be featured here at TesLAN! This is a constructed competition, which means you will have to bring your own deck to play.

This competition is not managed by the LANCo, we will however allocate some small prizes to this competition.

Ruleset

Party Size: 1

  3. 3. After the first game in a match, players are allowed to swap out cards from their deck with an equal amount of cards from their sideboard.
  4. 4. The player who decides if they want to start first or last in the first game of a match will be determined by a coinflip or ‘high roll’. After the first game, the losing player after each game gets this choice in a bo3 match. In a bo2 match, the player that did not get to choose in their first game, will get to choose in their second game.
  5. 5. The head judge has the authority to sanction a player if they conduct in unsportsmanlike behaviour or break any rules in this ruleset.
  6. 6. If a disagreement arises, the head judge will be called over to give a final verdict.
  7. 7. For Bo2 matches the time limit will be 50 minutes. Bo3 matches will have a time limit of 1 hour and 10 minutes. For a bo2, If the time limit is reached, the player who is currently in their turn will be able to finish their turn and their opponent will be able to play 1 more turn after that. If the match still hasn’t concluded after that or no player has a 2 point advantage, the match will result in a draw, granting both players 0.5 points. In a Bo3, these rules are the same, except that the higher seed player will win the match. If there is no higher seed, the player that did not have first choice selection in game 1, will win the match.
  8. 8. Players are expected to play within a reasonable tempo, if the head judge believes a player is stalling, they can be sanctioned.
